About Us

Robo Poets makes video games. We’re a small independent development studio founded in 2019. Our goal is to explore interesting ideas and game concepts that might be too risky for large publishers who depend on guaranteed successes. Whether it’s an unusual story or an interesting gameplay mechanic, we think a good idea is worth a try despite the chance of failure.

We support sustainable growth. There is more to life than work, but there is also more to leisure than video games. That means we aim to release games When They’re Done ™, we publish release dates only if we’re confident that we can meet them, and we oppose crunch and generally view it as a failure of management. As an employer, we fully support the efforts of Game Workers Unite and its sister unions.

At Robo Poets, we value openness and freedom and as such have always held a strong preference for free and open source software (FOSS). We as a studio would not exist and none of our games would have ever been made if it wasn’t for tools like Blender and Krita. We encourage everyone working in the digital arts to see if they can integrate these and other FOSS tools into their pipelines.
